Fantastic article at https://calmatters.org/environment/wildfires/2025/02/california-wildlfires-high-hazard-new-maps/ on Newsom's executive order last week, expediting laws passed in 2020-2021 session - AB 3074 and SB 63, regarding Zone Zero and Fire Hazard Severity Zone maps.
Implementation and enforcement of these two laws could have a massive positive effect on public safety and resilience in the face of wildfire.
