Glen View
Community Workday
In cooperation with the Santa Monica Mountains Fire Safety Council and Topanga Canyon Fire Safe Council, I'm delighted to provide the sign-up for our community work day.
On Saturday June 28 from 10AM-2PM, we'll gather to learn about home hardening and defensible space and then fan out in teams to work on the properties of those who wish to participate. Signups need to be completed before June 20, but please sign up promptly so that we can finalize arrangements and order the screening for those who need to protect their home's vents.
A dumpster for the weekend has kindly been donated by Waste Management, and when we split the disposal fee, it will be quite reasonable i.e. only $10 - 25 per household.
If you have a gardener who helps you with yard maintenance, please consider having them be present that day to help clean up your property and perhaps even help out some other neighbors. Pickup trucks, tools, and helping hands will be helpful. The more the merrier, and the more the progress we can make in hardening our neighborhood.
